TEHRAN (IRNA) -- Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in an exclusive interview with al-Arabia television network said that cooperation between Arabs and Iran is the only way to save the region.

Assessing Iran's decisive role in improvement of Iraq's situation, he said that participation of Iran can have a positive impact on Lebanon's situation.

Lebanon's parliament speaker said that in his visit to Iran he urged the need to strengthen the country's relations with Arab states, including Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Berri appreciated the spiritual support of Iran and Syria for the Lebanese resistance forces in Lebanon and said, "Even before the victory of Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khomeini provided such a spiritual support."
